'Stella d'Oro' is the most commonly found daylily in landscapes and for good reason. Plants are also mostly disease and insect resistant and rabbits tend to avoid daylilies. Flowers come in every color except blue, and flower shapes can be quite interesting, depending on cultivar some even seem to sparkle as if covered in tiny glitter. Renowned for outstanding repeat blooms, its bright golden blooms decorate. Daylilies will form thick clumps over the years and should be divided every three to four years, meaning you can quickly multiply just a few plants. Stella De Oro daylily is the most popular and widely-grown daylily of all time. The fine grass-like foliage emerges in early spring and lasts throughout the growing season before putting out flowers in summer. Although plants prefer fertile soils and medium moisture, they can grow in most soils and other growing conditions and tend to overcome heat and humidity. Slugs and snails may also be problematic at times, but daylilies, in general, will be happy and healthy as long as they are able to establish and receive adequate sunlight. Stella de Oro is a vigorous, free flowering, dormant daylily. Mites, aphids, and thrips may occur, but these problems are exceedingly rare. Daylilies are generally pest and disease-free, and Stella De Oro Daylily is no exception. ![]()
